Growth Charts

CDC US Growth Charts are used for patients aged 2 – 20 years in order to document their growth.

Unlike the determination of obesity and overweight for adults, growth charts are the main evaluative tool used to determine childhood overweight.

The CDC charts are also useful in detecting patients who are not thriving due to any number of causes as they fall off the percentiles.

Normal: >5th - <85th percentile
Risk for overweight: >85th - <95th percentile
Overweight: & higher than 95th percentile

You can print graphs charting your patient's growth in height and weight, as well as in BMI.

For infants and toddles use the WHO charts that are integrated into the Rourke forms

TIPS:

  • You can enter English measures for height and weight and then double click them to convert to metric
  • If you fill a metric weight and height you can double click the blank BMI spot and it will be calculated for you.
